The people of Andhra Pradesh have displayed their self-respect in the recent by-elections and voted out the remote-controlled Congress party.
This was the opinion expressed by veteran Communist leader and economist Gurudas Das Gupta who was in Hyderabad on Wednesday. He said the people had outrightly rejected the Congress government in the state which is being ruled by the Delhi bosses.
“They have displayed their self respect in the by-elections,” he said.
The CPI leader found fault the faulty policies of the Congress government in the Centre which led to the present financial crisis in the country.
“It is unfortunate that the Delhi bosses are more worried about the Presidential elections, rather than focusing on saving the country from a severe economic crisis. Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has turned out to be a non-perfomer,” he criticised.
