State government’s recent decision of sparing Tollywood from VAT tax creates a tie-up between two legends of the film industry. The first one is none other than actor turned politician Chiranjeevi and the other is also an actor turned politician Dasari Narayana Rao, who again find themselves in the same Congress party

.

It’s evident that Dasari Narayana rao being the senior most in the film industry and for his political connections with the ruling party, he has been putting efforts since last few years to convince the government to remove VAT tax on the film industry. Finally, he makes the government agree to his demand.

But, Chiranjeevi being a favorite leader for party high command, he also puts efforts for the same by using his good relationship with Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. Finally, the government passes the GO sparing Telugu Cine Industry from VAT tax.

Obviously, the industry is quite happy and welcomes the decision. But, it is divided on whom to give the credit of it. While, Mega compound and its allies in the industry remits the credit into Mega account, his rivals Jeevita, Rajashekar, Natti Kumar and Tamma Reddy Baradwaj argues that it happens only because of years of hard efforts of Dasari Narayana Rao. They flay ‘Mega’s’ for claiming the credit by coming in the last minute of the decision.

However, this incident reveals that still there is some opposition for Mega family in the Telugu film industry.
