The Rayalaseema leaders, who revived the proposal for Rayala Telangana state as a solution to the vexed separate statehood demand, are learnt to have explained Sonia Gandhi that there would be immense benefits for the Congress if the proposal gets materialized.

According to their blue print, the Congress would retain its hold on the region subject to the merger of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi with it. There would be 147 MLAs and 21 Lok Sabha seats in the Rayala Telangana region. If it is formed into a separate state, the Congress would be able to get not less than 90-100 seats in the region, even if the TRS is not merged with it. If the merger takes place, the combine would get two-thirds majority.

Similarly, the Congress-TRS combine would get anywhere between 15-17 Lok Sabha seats in the region. Even if the Congress can get five Lok Sabha seats in the rest of the Seemandhra region (assuming that the YSR Congress party gets 15 Lok Sabha seats in the Seemandhra region), it would have a comfortable position in the Lok Sabha. That way, it would be a double benefit to the Congress.

On the other hand, the Rayala Telangana would also help bring down the influence of YSR Congress party and the Telugu Desam Party to only Seemandhra region (Coastal Andhra plus Kadapa and Chittoor), as they would have little presence in the Telangana region. One does not know whether the concept has appealed to party president Sonia Gandhi.

నిజానికి నిష్పాక్షికంగా దర్యాప్తు చేస్తూ ఏ కేసునైనా ఒకేలా చూడాల్సిన సీబీఐ.. చంద్రబాబుకు మాత్రం ప్రాణ స్నేహితుడిలా ప్రవర్తిస్తోందని గతంలోనే విమర్శలొచ్చాయి. ఎందుకంటే జగన్ కేసుల్లో క్షణం కూడా వృథా కాకూడదన్నట్లుగా రెండు వారాల్లోనే కోర్టుకు నివేదిక ఇవ్వటం.. కోర్టు దర్యాప్తుకు ఆదేశించిన గంటల వ్యవధిలో మూకుమ్మడి దాడులతో ఇన్వెస్టర్లను, వైఎస్సార్ కుటుంబీకుల్ని భయభ్రాంతుల్ని చేయటం తెలిసిందే. ఆఖరికి ఎమ్మార్ వ్యవహారంపై దర్యాప్తు చేస్తూ కూడా జగన్ సన్నిహితులనే టార్గెట్ చేశారు తప్ప.. నిబంధనల్ని గాలికొదిలేసి టెండర్ల దశ నుంచే కుట్రపూరితంగా వ్యవహరించిన చంద్రబాబును మాత్రం విచారించనేలేదు. చివరకు సింగిల్ టెండర్ మిగిలేలా చక్రం తిప్పి.. హైదరాబాద్ నడిబొడ్డున ఎకరా రూ.4 కోట్లు విలువ చేసే భూమిని కేవలం రూ.28 లక్షల చొప్పున సీఎం హోదాలో బాబు విక్రయించేశారు. అది కూడా ఏ పరిశ్రమకో, వేల మందికి ఉపాధి కల్పించటానికో కాదు.. విల్లాలు కట్టుకొని అమ్ముకోవటానికి! అయినా సరే.. ఈ వ్యవహారంలో 2004 కన్నా ముందు ఏం జరిగిందనేది తమకు అనవసరమన్నట్టుగా సీబీఐ మొండిగా వ్యవహరించింది. చివరికి సుప్రీంకోర్టు చెప్పినా సరే, అటువైపు కన్నెత్తి కూడా చూడలేదు. ఈ బాగోతాన్ని ప్రస్తావిస్తున్న వర్గాలు.. మరి ఇదెంత వరకూ నైతికమని గట్టిగానే ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నాయి. పెపైచ్చు బాబు హయాంలో జరిగిన వ్యవహారాల్ని తప్పుబడుతూ, వాటిపై విచారణ జరపాలంటూ రాష్ట్ర హైకోర్టు తీర్పునిచ్చినప్పుడు.. దానిపై మీనమేషాలు లెక్కిస్తూ మూడు వారాల దాకా సీబీఐ ముందుకు కదలకపోవడాన్ని, కనీసం అటువైపు దృష్టి కూడా సారించకపోవడాన్ని ఆ వర్గాలు గుర్తుచేస్తున్నాయి.

హైదరాబాద్, న్యూస్‌లైన్: వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ అధినేత వైఎస్ జగన్‌మోహన్‌రెడ్డి కంపెనీల్లో పెట్టుబడుల వ్యవహారంపై దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్న సీబీఐ నిజాయతీగా వ్యవహరించడం లేదని సుప్రీంకోర్టు సీనియర్ న్యాయవాది రాం జెఠ్మలానీ హైకోర్టుకు నివేదించారు. దర్యాప్తు నిష్పాక్షికంగా జరగడం లేదని, సిగ్గుతో తలదించుకునేలా సాగుతోందని వివరించారు. దర్యాప్తు పేరుతో సీబీఐ చేస్తున్నదంతా తప్పని, అవసరం లేని అంశాలన్నింటిలో దర్యాప్తు చేస్తోందని తెలిపారు. జగన్ పిటిషన్‌పై బుధవారం మొదలైన వాదనలు న్యాయమూర్తి జస్టిస్ సముద్రాల గోవిందరాజులు ఎదుట గురువారం కూడా కొనసాగాయి. జగన్ తరఫున రాంజెఠ్మలానీ, సీబీఐ తరఫున సీనియర్ న్యాయవాది అశోక్‌భాన్ వాదించారు. 

సీబీఐ తీర్పులిచ్చేస్తోంది..

దర్యాప్తు చేసి, తదుపరి ప్రక్రియను న్యాయస్థానాలకు వదిలిపెట్టాల్సిన సీబీఐ అధికారులు, అందుకు విరుద్ధంగా తామే తీర్పులిచ్చేస్తూ నిందితులను ముందుగానే శిక్షించేస్తున్నారని రాంజెఠ్మలానీ హైకోర్టు దృష్టికి తీసుకొచ్చారు. దర్యాప్తు పేరుతో వ్యక్తుల స్వేచ్ఛను అడ్డుకుంటున్నారని తెలిపారు. ‘‘సీబీఐ దర్యాప్తు మొత్తం మోసం. అది తన విధి నిర్వహణలో దారుణంగా విఫలమైంది. ఇది నేను చెబుతున్నది కాదు. ఓ కేసులో సుప్రీంకోర్టు వ్యక్తం చేసిన అభిప్రాయం. సాక్షులను జగన్ బెదిరిస్తారని, సాక్ష్యాలను తారుమారు చేస్తారని, అందుకే అరెస్టు చేస్తున్నామని సీబీఐ చెప్పింది. కానీ ఈ కేసులో ఎఫ్‌ఐఆర్ నమోదైన 2011 ఆగస్టు 17 నుంచి 2012 జగన్‌ను అరెస్టు చేసిన మే 27 దాకా సీబీఐకి ఈ విషయం ఎందుకు గుర్తుకు రాలేదు? ఆ సమయంలో ఎన్నికలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. జగన్ బయట ఉంటే రాజకీయంగా ఎదుర్కోవడం సాధ్యం కాదు కాబట్టి ఢిల్లీ ఆదేశాల మేరకు సీబీఐ ఆయన్ను అరెస్టు చేసింది’’ అన్నారు. పైగా అరెస్ట్ సమయంలో జగన్ ఎంపీ హోదాను అధికారులు సాకుగా చూపారంటూ రాంజెఠ్మలానీ ఎద్దేవా చేశారు. సీబీఐ ఇచ్చిన అరెస్టు మెమో మొత్తం తప్పులతడకని, అందులోని విషయాలన్నీ అవాస్తవాలని కోర్టు దృష్టికి తీసుకొచ్చారు. ‘‘వాస్తవాలు తెలుసుకునేందుకు విచారణకు పిలుస్తున్నామని జగన్‌కు చెప్పిన సీబీఐ అధికారులు, తరువాత అరెస్టు చేశారు. ఇది మోసగించడమే అవుతుంది. అరెస్టును జగన్ ముందే ఊహించి ముందస్తు బెయిల్ కోసం పిటిషన్ దాఖలు చేశారు. ఆయనను ఫలానా అంశంపై విచారణకు పిలిపించామని అప్పుడు సీబీఐ అధికారులు కోర్టుకు చెప్పలేదు. ఇది న్యాయస్థానాన్ని మోసం చేయడమే. సీబీఐ పబ్లిక్ ప్రాసిక్యూటర్లు వాస్తవాలను దాచిపెడుతూ న్యాయస్థానాన్ని పదేపదే మోసం చేస్తున్నారు. ఇది క్షమించరాని నేరం. సీబీఐ చర్యలు అమాయకులను ఇబ్బందిపెట్టేలా ఉన్నాయి’’ అని ఆయన కోర్టుకు నివేదించారు.

ఒక్క మంచి ప్రశ్నయినా అడిగారా?

విచారణకు జగన్ సహకరించలేదని, పొంతన లేని సమాధానాలు చెప్పారని అంటున్న సీబీఐ అధికారులు అసలు విచారణలో జగన్‌ను ఒక్క మంచి ప్రశ్నైనా అడిగారా అని రాంజెఠ్మలానీ ప్రశ్నించారు. జగన్ సరిగా సమాధానాలివ్వడం లేదని చెప్పేందుకు అసలు సీబీఐకున్న అర్హతేమిటంటూ నిలదీశారు. సీబీఐ సొంతగా దర్యాప్తు చేసి వాస్తవాలు తెలుసుకోవాలే తప్ప, జగన్ చెప్పేదాన్ని బట్టి దర్యాప్తు చేయడమేమిటని ఆయన ప్రశ్నించారు. ‘దర్యాప్తు అంటే ఇదేనా? దర్యాప్తు సాగే తీరు ఇదేనా?’ అని సీబీఐని ప్రశ్నించారు. సీబీఐ దర్యాప్తు సిగ్గుతో తలదించుకునేలా ఉందని పునరుద్ఘాటించారు. తాము చెప్పినట్టు విని, తమకు సహకరించిన వారిని సీబీఐ అధికారులు ఈ కేసులో సాక్షులుగా చూపుతున్నారని, అలా వినని వారిని మాత్రం దోషులుగా చూపుతున్నారని కోర్టు దృష్టికి తీసుకొచ్చారు.

ఒక్క సాక్ష్యమూ చూపలేదే?!

జగన్ సాక్షులను బెదిరించే, సాక్ష్యాలను తారుమారు చేసే అవకాశముందంటున్న సీబీఐ అధికారులు, అందుకు సంబంధించి ఒక్కటంటే ఒక్క సాక్ష్యాన్ని కూడా ఇప్పటిదాకా ఏ కోర్టు ముందూ ఉంచలేదని రాంజెఠ్మలానీ వివరించారు. ఈ విషయంలో సీబీఐ అధికారులు ప్రతిసారీ కోర్టు ముందు తప్పుడు ప్రకటనలు చేస్తున్నారని నివేదించారు. ‘‘సీఆర్పీసీ సెక్షన్ 164 కింద వాంగ్మూలాలిచ్చేందుకు సాక్షులు ముందుకు రావడం లేదని సీబీఐ చెబుతోంది. కానీ నిజానికి కేవలం ఒక్క వ్యక్తి మాత్రమే 164 కింద వాంగ్మూలమిచ్చే విషయంలో సీబీఐ నోటీసులకు స్పందించలేదు. దాన్ని జగన్‌కు ముడిపెట్టడం ఎంత వరకు సమంజసం? దేశంలోనే అత్యున్నత దర్యాప్తు సంస్థగా చెప్పుకునే సీబీఐ దర్యాప్తు తీరు ఎలా ఉందో ఓసారి చూడండి’’ అని ఈ సందర్భంగా న్యాయమూర్తిని జెఠ్మలానీ కోరారు. ‘సీబీఐలో మంచి అధికారులున్నారు. అదే సమయంలో చెడ్డవారూ ఉన్నారు. వారివల్లే మంచి అధికారులకు తగిన గుర్తింపు రాకుండా పోతోంది. జగన్ అరెస్టుకు సీబీఐ చెప్పిన కారణాలు స్పష్టంగా లేవు. వాటి ఆధారంగా జగన్ అరెస్టును సమర్థించుకోజాలదు. ప్రస్తుతం రాష్ట్రపతి ఎన్నికలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. ఓ పార్టీ అధ్యక్షుడిగా తనకు నచ్చిన అభ్యర్థికి ఓటేయాలని ప్రచారం చేసుకునే హక్కు జగన్‌కుంది. రాజ్యాంగం ప్రసాదించిన ఆ హక్కును గౌరవిస్తూ ఆయనకు బెయిలివ్వాలి’’ అని కోర్టును కోరారు.
అసాధారణ పరిస్థితుల్లోనే బెయిల్ నిరాకరణ..

దర్యాప్తు జరుగుతోంది గనుక బెయిలివ్వరాదని సీబీఐ కోరడం సరికాదని రాంజెఠ్మలానీ గుర్తు చేశారు. సుప్రీంకోర్టు ఇదే విషయాన్ని పలు తీర్పుల్లో స్పష్టం చేసిందన్నారు. ‘‘బెయిలిచ్చే విషయంలో చట్టం స్పష్టంగా ఉంది. నిందితులకు బెయిలివ్వడమనేది నిబంధన. దాని నిరాకరణ అసాధారణ పరిస్థితుల్లో మాత్రమే చేసేది’’ అని అన్నారు. ‘‘దాదాపు 10 నెలలుగా దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్నారు. మూడు చార్జిషీట్లు వేశారు. విదేశాలకు కూడా వెళ్లారు. లెటర్ ఆఫ్ రెగొటరీ ద్వారా విదేశాల నుంచి సమాచారమూ కోరారు. కానీ ఆ దేశాలు ఎప్పటికీ సమాధానమివ్వవు. దాన్ని అడ్డం పెట్టుకుని దర్యాప్తు ఇంకా కొనసాగుతోంది. నిందితులకు బెయిలివ్వొద్దని సీబీఐ వాదిస్తోంది. ఇదెంతమాత్రమూ సమంజసం కాదు’’ అని ఆయన వివరించారు.

అంతకుముందు సీబీఐ తరఫున అశోక్ భాన్ వాదనలు వినిపించారు. తండ్రి అధికారాన్ని అడ్డంపెట్టుకుని జగన్ అధికార దుర్వినియోగానికి పాల్పడ్డారన్నారు. కొన్ని కంపెనీలకు లబ్ధి చేకూర్చగా అవి జగన్ కంపెనీల్లో పెట్టుబడులు పెట్టడం ఒకేసారి జరిగిందన్నారు. ఇదంతా క్విడ్ ప్రొ కోలో భాగమేనని ఆయన వివరించారు. ‘‘జగన్‌కున్న పలుకుబడి వల్ల సాక్ష్యమిచ్చేందుకు సాక్షులు ముందుకు రావడం లేదన్నారు. జగన్‌కు బెయిలిస్తే సాక్ష్యాలను తారుమారు చేసే అవకాశాలున్నాయి. దర్యాప్తు కొనసాగుతున్నందున ఈ దశలో జగన్‌కు బెయిలివ్వరాదు’’ అని భాన్ కోర్టును కోరారు. ఈ సమయంలో కేసు పూర్వాపరాల్లోకి వెళ్లేందుకు ఆయన పలుమార్లు ప్రయత్నించగా న్యాయమూర్తి అడ్డుకున్నారు. ‘పూర్వాపరాల్లోకి వెళ్లొద్దు. ఎందుకు బెయిల్ ఇవ్వరాదనే విషయానికి మాత్రమే వాదనలను పరిమితం చేయాలి’’ అని స్పష్టం చేశారు. జూలై 4న తీర్పు వెలువరిస్తానని ప్రకటించారు.

Jagan To Be Out Of Jail Before Local Body polls!

If the sources in the Congress party are to be believed, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will be out of jail on bail sooner, before the commencement of the local body elections.

According to these sources, the local body elections would be most probably held in the month of September which means there is still two months’ time left for the polls.

The Congress leadership is said to be of the view that there would be considerable damage to the party if Jagan continues to be in the jail for a long time.

“It is likely that he would be released on bail much before the schedule for local body elections is announced,” a source said.

The CBI which has been strongly opposing the bail petition of Jagan all these days might not raise any objection or might put up a weak defense in the coming days, so that the courts could grant him bail.

Maverick producer-cum-director-cum-actor Posani Krishna Murali, who is known for losing his tongue at everybody, has now turned his ire on media baron Ramoji Rao.

On Wednesday, Posani made a scathing attack on Ramoji Rao for carrying a story in Eenadu Telugu daily that he had gone to Chanchalguda jail to meet YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy but was denied permission from the jail authorities.

“This is totally atrocious and wrong news. I did not go the jail at all. The report is nothing but infringement on my fundamental rights,” he said.

Accusing Ramoji Rao as a man without morals, Posani demanded that the former should tender an unconditional apology for the wrong news. “Otherwise, I will have to disclose bitter truths about Ramoji Rao and it would cause immense damage to him,” he said.

The maverick actor said the Eenadu chairman was suffering from Jagan phobia.

“You may target Jagan politically, but you cannot stop his political growth. He is sure to become the chief minister shortly,” Posani said.

It may be mentioned that Posani was once a staunch follower of Chiranjeevi, besides an activist of ertstwhile Praja Rajyam Party. Later, he shifted loyalties to Jaganmohan Reddy. He even declared that he would cut off his head, if anybody proved that Jagan was a corrupt politician.

“In the present day politics, only Jagan is the best and sincere leader. Chiranjeevi is also a nice man, but he proved a failure in politics by merging his party with the Congress. Now, east or west, Jagan is the best,” Posani said.

CBI Questions Voters' Wisdom!

the central Bureau of Investigation appears to be going overboard in its investigation into the alleged illegal assets case of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy so much so that it is even questioning the wisdom of voters who had voted for his party in the recent by-elections.

At a time when even the defeated candidates of the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party accepted the people’s verdict rather gracefully, the CBI advocates were audacious enough to tell the high court on Wednesday that the Jagan party candidates had won 15 seats because of gullible and innocent voters.

“Jagan is feeling as if he is already a Chief Minister. Just because innocent people voted for his party, it does not mean they have given him clean chit in the corruption case,” the CBI counsel said.

High court judge Govindarajulu took strong exception to these observations.

“Your comments are highly objectionable. You are not supposed to undervalue the judgement of voters. Please refrain from making such statements,” he said, pulling up the CBI counsel.

It's Better CBI JD Joins Politics

By lodging a complaint with the police against YSR Congress party and Sakshi daily with regard to his controversial mobile call list episode, Central Bureau of Investigation Joint Director VV Lakshminaryana appears to be taking the case too personal.

“We don’t mind if Lakshminarayana wants to join a political party or a media house opposing us, but being in the government, he should do justice to his duty without any prejudice. But his behaviour is otherwise ever since the investigation began. He has no right to continue in the post if he cannot separate personal issues from official and stop taking sides that too with our political and business rivals,” YSR Congress party spokesperson Bajireddy Goverdhan said.

He also accused the Congress government of showing its vindictive attitude very blatantly when it ordered for an inquiry based on the complaint of the CBI official and his friend. “On the other hand, the police did not even attend the complaint lodged by 16 legislators of the party seeking investigation into the telephone call data issue,” he said.

He made it clear that the call data was not classified. “An affected party submitted it to a court and it has thus become a public document. The State government which has shown the quickness in acting against his complaint on Sakshi did not show the same zeal when our elected representatives complained against him,” he said.

“In the garb of CBI, Lakshminarayana has been helping our rivals. He can quit the post and join them to fight us, if he has any personal reasons, otherwise he is answerable to the people if he does not conduct the probe proceedings properly,” he said.

Conspiracy angle being diverted to save CBI official: YSRCP

Reiterating that an inquiry should be ordered by a sitting Supreme Court judge to probe into the conspiracy to physically harm ys jaganmohan reddy, YSRCP has said some vested interests and a section of media has been actively involved in diverting the issue through malicious propaganda. "Our pointed question is if a CBI official can talk to a judge and other persons while the investigations is in process but the issue is being diverted by bringing in freedom of press and the avocation of an individual in to picture," party spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao told reporters here on Saturday. Journalists speaking to CBI was never been an objection from our side, we have been contending that CBI investigation has been moving on the wrong track and the Joint Director has been very partisan and was not adhering to CBI manual. "He was talking to a select few and information was being passed as inquiry details were being published in a section of media which is now trying to save the Joint Director by bringing the issue of an individual and tagging human relations after whipping up passions of journalists," he said. We firmly believe that the sequence of events, right from the undemocratic arrest, to the bringing of ys jaganmohan reddy in an ordinary police van to court, to the black out at Chancalguda jail as part of the conspiracy to harm or eliminate him and the newly elected MLAs sat on a dharna demanding a high level probe into the issue, he said. CBI manual clearly points out that it cannot speak to any judge or media while the investigation process is in progress and the telephone numbers we released were those who received calls or messages from the Joint Director VV Lakshminaryana and we take strong objection to the officer talking to select media persons. We have given the telephone number of a woman who received most number of calls and who was also in touch with Radha Krishna of Andhra Jyothy newspaper. Our focus was only on the number and not on the person. We fail to understand why Mr. Radha Krishna is enthusiastic to cover-up CBI JD VV Lakshminarayana. "Between September and December 2011 there was a barrage of calls between the woman and the CBI Joint Director. The cover up bid about the lady's avocation with Lead India is clearly a deviation and the activity began much later," he said. This was what we have been questioning and serious efforts are being made to divert the main issue and save the Joint Director who did not follow the CBI manual during the investigation and while dealing with the Press," he said. We will take up the matter legally and bring the issue to the notice of high offices including Central Vigilance Commission, he said.

Despite start of kharif season, he accused the government of its failure to supply subsidized seeds and fertilizers to farmers. Although the government is claiming champion of farmers cause, he alleged that the government was showing total negligence in addressing their issues. Throwing farmers problems to wind, he alleged that the leaders in the state heading to New Delhi to protect their posts.

SSP Yadav YSR Loyalty Intact

Retired director general of police SSP Yadav's loyalty towards YSR family is still intact. And he is very keen to show it also. A few days ago, the retired officer hosted a dinner for Kamal Kishore Singh, a 1996 batch IPS officer belonging to the Bihar cadre and who has been posted as a central observer for the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula assembly bypolls slated for May 8.

As per sources, Yadav introduced a few senior activists of YSR Congress floated by the former CM’s son Jaganmohan Reddy to the visiting cop. The Bihari officer, who is presently working as DIG, CID, Patna, was also explained in detail by Yadav about how much YSR has done for the state.  While some political observers say that this is an attempt by SSP Yadav to influence a central observer in favour of a certain political party ahead of the bypolls, others doesn't agree with this and say that there is no other intention on part of Yadav,  than hosting a dinner to a fellow officer hailing from his native state.
