There was a media report from New Delhi on Monday that the Congress party’s core committee, which met under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi last night, had discussed the party affairs in Andhra Pradesh.
The committee reportedly came to a decision on change of the Chief Minister. A few names came up for discussion as the successor of N Kiran Kumar Reddy and these names include: K Jana Reddy, M Shashidhar Reddy and D Srinivas, as suggested by different seniors in the core committee.
According to the report, AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi came out with a surprising name, stating that he would prefer that person as the new CM of Andhra. There was no further discussion on the matter, as all the other seniors remained silent.
This media report raised a lot of curiosity in the political analysts who are wondering as to who this surprising choice of Rahul Gandhi could be. Though the media report described the choice as “he,” there are a few analysts who suspected that it could actually be “she” and not “he,” and the report deliberately mentioned it as “he” to maintain the suspense. If the person is really “she,” it is anybody’s guess, as she is a Rahul Gandhi’s candidate. Well, we will leave it to your imagination!
